Hello, everyone. My girlfriend and I just purchased a truck for under $10,000. It's a beauty and looks to have been taken care of by the previous owners. There are some minor issues with the appearance, but I'm concerned about a noise. It sounds like metal grinding on metal and can be very embarrassing at stop lights. It happens when coasting or idling and I've noticed it occurring in drive and reverse both. I've never been mechanically inclined and don't want to spend a fortune on something minor. I've tried searching this up but I'm unsure of what terms to use or questions to ask to limit variables and diagnose properly. The noise goes away when accelerating.
