I have a 97 4.6 2V 4x4 with 200,000 miles and starting to have head issues, decided to swap motors but have been reading stuff on PI motors. My questions are will I be able to put newer 2V PI heads and intake on my truck and what do I need to do it? Throttle body, alternator mounts, water pumps? I am pulling 4.6 motor out of my parts truck to either rebuild or as a core since mine was running fine before heads acting up. Since I will be pulling the engine I don't mind spending a little extra to get some more horsepower. I know the newer trucks and SUVs have the PI stuff but not sure what will work for me.
