Question 4.6 compatibility

I have 97 f150 with the 4.6 Romeo and I need to do a engine swap. I have a line on 98 mercury grand marquis with the 4.6 Romeo. The question is are they compatible with each other if I take the mercury down to the long block and then reuse the needed parts from the f150? IE throttle body, intake manifold, valve covers and possibly the oil pan.

Thanks for the help.

I would think so.

But let others come chime in.

It should be, as long as the Mercury engine does not have PI heads.
