What are the 4.6L power numbers for various years
I am looking for the factory hp/rpm and torque/rpm figures for the 4.6L engines for the various years they have been used.
Thanks in advance for the info,

So the '99 and 2000 motors didn't follow the power increase of the Mustang to 260HP?
Interesting.
Seems you could put the Mustang heads on, which account for about 35 hp, and get some power that way. This wouldn't be the cheapest route, but was wondering.

Just a comment, I was under the impression that the '97 4.6 had 210 HP @4500 and the same torque.

Has anybody had their truck on a dyno to see what hp these engines really make? The Cobras are down quite a lot from their rated hp.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the 'rated' HP. I recently took delivery off a '00 5.4 with 260 hp. My 99 4.6 with only 220 however feels pretty close in terms of power /acceleration. Not that the 5.4 is slow but let's just say I was expecting more.
The 4.6 and 5.4 are very close in terms of power, so I don't think that if my 4.6 had an extra 20 horse it would be much different.

Rear wheel horsepower is substantially less in any vehicle. In the f150 with 4.6 and 3:55's it's still around 200 hp from what I read in a magazine article. So I would assume the 5.4 would lose even less Hp.
