I was told the thermostat in the Lightning trucks is 180 degrees stock, is this correct?. Will the thermostat from a Lightning fit a 4.6?.

The thermostat will interchange, however I do not recommend changing to a lower temperature thermostat unless your SuperChip is programmed for it. The computer expects a certain temp range from the temp sensor and will run rich and generally poorer if the temp is brought below the expected range - i.e. changing thermostats.

 

...which will result in poor gas milage, diluted oil, accelerated wear everywhere that oil touches, and eventually clogged cats. But hey, it's a free country.
