New here but several questions coming. Is there a way to crosscheck an engine when used to find out what vehicle it came out of.

I supposedly got a 5.4 for a 99 expedition used, 67k miles, but 2 mechanics said there was more than 67 k on it
Valve covers had been changed etc. No reason to change valve covers on that low of a motor
Place I purchased stated all original motor out of a 99 expedition 67k
