throttle body spacer

Does this really do anything? or is it jsut a way to make my wallet $100 lighter?

truck is a 2001 5.4L 2V. I will have a custom tune on it

They became popular on carburetored engines where they do help, but not on port fuel injected engines.

this should be its own thread, but what about a larger throttle body?

I will soon be running a spectre cai as well

If you do this, you'll need to run the truck on a dyno, and get it tuned accordingly. I think you already have the tuner, they will just need to tell you what values you need to program it to.

Around here dyno runs are about $100 for 3 shots, 4 if they like you.

Lowest I've ever seen was $20 for 3 runs at a local car show... so if you look around, you can find one for super cheap.

A larger throttle body has no benefits whatsoever unless you also do major internal engine modifications. Same with the aftermarket intake. Save your money and just do a Gotts mod to the stock intake.

already bought the intake. not going to do a gotts mod. the gotts mod definitely looks home built, and in CA, in an enhanced smog area, that is a no go. If it isn't stock, or have a CARB EO #, you fail emissions testing, and can't register your vehicle.
