Hate to say it, but it's probably the starter.

My gut says starter, otherwise I don't believe id get a click at the starter, a bad relay would do nothing, although a bad contact could give a low voltage at the starter which I should check also tomorrow.

The ground strap on the starter rots out on these trucks.

Is the ground strap the small lug on the starter? I hit that with the clamp on the trigger starter at the same time as the other lug and it lit up,lol.

Update: It was the starter relay contacts that were bad, bought a new one and its all done. I'm glad it wasn't the starter, wasn't looking forward to doing that, its supposed to snow again tomorrow. Thank you everyone for your input.

You talking about the relay on the firewall? That's a common failure.

Glad it was an easy fix. Winter is the absolute worst time for a vehicle to screw up if you don't have a garage. They are giving snow and single digits here.

Yup, we got the same here. It's always the "worst" time when a vehicle gives no start issues.

I had the fuel pump go out on my Compass, and my mother was using it to go food shopping. It was 90F, and a trunk load of groceries (~$200). Luckily I was at work with a truck, so I came by and loaded my truck up with the groceries while she dealt with the tow truck to get it to my house. Any other time it would've been fine... but no, we had expensive cargo!

Yep, I had fun changing a headlight bulb in the parking lot at Autozone yesterday. It was about 15 degrees and snowing lightly.
