I'm looking to buy a camper this spring and was wondering if anyone has any experience with towing with the 4.6 3v?

 

It's probably rated higher, but I'd stick with a trailer under about 6000# gross weight.

If you can post full details on your truck we can look up its ratings.

Axle ratio (AXLE code on door jamb sticker)

 

It's an extended cab, 6.5ft bed 4wd. Not sure the axle ratio. I'll have to look tomorrow

 

Official ratings are 7900# with 3.55's, 9400# with 3.73's. However, you will probably run out of payload capacity (truck GVWR) before you reach those numbers.
