3.8 To 4.2 S/c ???

3.8 To 4.2 S/c ???
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE A 3.8 SUPERCHARGER AND CONVERT THIS TO A 4.2 LITER IN A 97 F150 ?? DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THIS CONVERSION WOULD WORK? I DONT SEE IT HAPPENING UNLEE YOU SWAP OUT THE INTAKEUPPPER AND LOWER THERE JUST DOESNT LOOK LIKE MUCH ROOM ON TOP THERE? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT
It would work but there would be some modifications needed on your truck first.
First is the accesorie drive, even though the 4.2 is nothing more than a stroked 3.8 the accesorie drive is mounted completely diffrent on the two engines so you would need to remounteverything like the mustang before you even think about starting.
Second is the intake. Either you need to find a mustang upper intake(99-new) or have a new intake tube made to go from the SC discharge to the 4.2 intake.
And third, there is already a kit out for our trucks. it is made by a company called autonet performanc and you can find them at http://www.autoperformance.net
