Smile 2002 f150 4.6 performance ideas

I have a 2002 4.6 v8 f150. I’m looking to make 350-400hp at the wheels. New to this forum so all ideas and tips are appreciated. Not looking to swap to a 5.4. Preferably would like to keep it NA.

You aren't going to get that kind of HP at the wheels on a 4.6 2 valve without forced induction.

How much money do you have? The engine would have to be completely rebuilt with the right components and forced induction like glc says to do that. $10 grand would probably be a low estimate of how much it would cost.

You aren't even going to get that kind of RWHP out of a NA 5.4. You would need a Coyote or 6.2 swap plus some mods, and those are quite involved.

I would settle for an extra 10% but the lack of cubes and those tiny exhaust ports...I guess there is no replacement for displacement.
I turn off the OD when in traffic in case I need to guard my flank or fend off other intruders.
Does it really help or just make me feel better...

A programmer or tune if you prefer will give you a few extra horses. My 02 5.4 had less hp than the 00 5.4 I used to own in stock tune even though they were rated the same and when I loaded the Superchips tune I got a significant increase in hp and a little better fuel economy. I also was able to buy it used from a member.
