truck dies when coming to a stop

I have a 2005 Ford F150 and it has died when coming to a stop.

I took it to a mechanic and he said that I needed a complete tune up, spark plugs replace etc...
So he did the complete tune up and the next day it again died coming to a stop sign. I took it back to him and he hooked it up to his machine and he said that no codes came up. He kept it overnight and drove it around and he said it did not die on him this time.

My truck has died three times in the last 2 weeks.

What could be the problem? Was there a recall regarding this problem on the F150 trucks?

Please help!!!!

Probably needs a good throttle body cleaning. That's an electronic throttle, not mechanical linkage. It could be sticking closed instead of reopening a bit when you come to a stop.

Had an old car that done something similar. Mine ended up being the torque converter was bad and stayed locked up. When coming to a stop kick it into neutral and see if it still does it. If it stops dying yours might be going out. Just a thought of something I experienced.

I'm assuming that it starts back up quickly?
