Increase Gas Mileage

I'm sure this question has been asked 1001 times already, but what mods can I perform on my 2016 F150 to increase the gas mileage? Brand new off the lot I'm getting 17 mpg. I have heard that change the air filter helps as well as upgrading the exhaust. With that said, which air filter or air system is best for my truck? Is it as simple as changing the stock filter to a K&N filter or do I need to change the entire air intake system?

No mods will pay for themselves in savings. What engine do you have and is the 17 mpg in town, mixed or what? How you drive and avoiding idling can increase mpg more than anything.

I have the 5.0 V8. The 17mpg I'm getting now is mixed, highway and city.

No intake or air filter system is going to increase gas mileage. Neither will any exhaust mods. The stock air and exhaust systems are as efficient as it's going to get. If either of those would increase mileage, Ford would have put them on at the factory.

How many miles are on this? If you have under 5000 miles , I say that you engine is not broke in yet and you may experience better MPGs later.

Also what gear ratio do you have? Note drivers door tag & axle code
