sputtering

I have a 2009 ford f-150 lariat 5.4 liter engine. the truck has been running funny lately and the check engine light came on and it was saying the two camshaft positon timing sensor were over retarded so i replaced the two sensors and got the codes erased still havent come back on but truck is still running rough. the truck runs fine when running cold but when it warms up and i got brake for a red light or slowing down the engine starts sputtering like its going to stall. one time it actually stalled out going from reverse to drive. i dont know what it could be that is doing this to my truck. everybody has different results for this. can anybody help me with this please???

Similar problem

I have a similar problem that started today after driving 50MPH for about 10 Minutes... got home, started to backup in the driveway and the truck sounded like it was about to stall, stumbling and lots of noise like it was a diesel. No check engine light, Oil Pressure was good. I shut it off and restarted and it started to do it again. Shut it off for a minute and all was fine. Did it again later in the day after the same 10min at 50MPH stretch. This time I revved the engine and it smoothed out only to do it again when I dropped to idle. Not sure where to go with this right now. Maybe someone can solve both of our problems.
Sorry, this is an '06 5.4 Flex with and SCT tuner... I did reload the tune in between the two episodes.

2006, F150, 5.4 Flex, 140,000mi, SCT Tuner, S&B CAI

Replaced the fuel filter that was definitely in need of it. And it runs a lot better, but I think the stumbling is the ECT solenoids. Going to try to clean them with carb cleaner.

By the way, watch out for the goofy clip on the fuel line from the tank. Special care needs to be taken to release it. BTW Autozone can order a replacement. 2006 truck came with the 5/16 fuel line until December 2005 and then a 3.8" line after that...
