Hey everyone. I have a 97 4.6 4x4 with approx. 180,000 miles. It has been sitting for three years, it does run and drive but it shudders really bad upon acceleration. I have changed both coil packs, fuel filter and cleaned the intake. Probably going to change plugs and wires and see if that helps. If y'all have any other suggestions that would be great.

 

I'd drain the gas tank and put fresh fuel in, a couple bottles of Techron would help.

Use Motorcraft plugs, no antiseize, torque to 28 ft/lb. Motorcraft wires recommended.
