Engine Upgrade: Where to start?

Ive got an '05 Ford F150 4.6L V8 2WD, and I'd like to start adding some components to give it more power/acceleration/torque. Where should I start without breaking the bank?

Save your money and eventually trade it for a 2011 and up 5.0 or ecoboost.

There is no cheap power adder. The best and cheapest is a tune. After that megabucks. A lower rear gear will give a lot of bang for the bucks but gets more expensive. CAI and catbacks are not power adders.

Supercharger is what u want, they surface here and there, sometimes they are on ebay, of all the upgrades they require rebuilds that cost as much as a couple other upgrades combined but its the best upgrade to get on most most other upgrades will leave you saying is that it?....So if you pursue this you want to go intercooled over non intercooled too. Other than that get a programmer itll work with what you already have and usually what you will eventually have.
