Engine problem

Iv been having a problem with my 88 ford 351. It will start and run but if you just hold it at a steady 2000 rpm it will just cut out like you turn the key off then it will rev back up to 2000 rpm and just repeat. Tried new tps, distributor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, a computer from another truck fuel pressed is normal and still does it I'm at a lose. Would anyone know something else to try

thanks

I'm assuming it's fuel injected. My 88 351 E150 clubwagon was.

It may be the ignition module or even the pickup in the distributor but I'm wild guessing here.

disconnect the vacuum line to the egr and plug it and see if that affects anything.

Are these ignition modules bolted to the side of the distributor? that was my first thought and they can be kinda hit and miss if I'm thinking correct.

maybe a the MAF or MAP sensor is funky? Is your fuel tank full?? or about 1/3 full? does it go way if you have a full tank?
