5.4 L Nasty Build!!

Hello everyone. I have an 04 F-150 with the 5.4L Triton and I would like to tear the engine apart and rebuild with quality parts to get some extra juice out of it. Its my daily driver but I want to feel some power. My problem is, I have no idea where to start component wise. I want nice sounding cams and a ton of power. Can you guys help me.

F.I. will probably be your best bet. The lift and big tires aren't helping your situation much either

Forced induction

Lift and tires, huge parasitic loss on drivetrain, and areodynamics

have you looked at pricing to rebuild a 5.4, price of cams and the results.

I would re-gear it, put in a nice exhaust, tune and call it a day.

big budget, buy a roush or whipple supercharger, have motor rebuilt with a forged piston, good rods, and then get the transmission rebuilt to hold it all. a cam lope is cool , but a blower whine is the stuff. $15k ???

i would never put that kind of money into a 150k mile truck, but to each their own.

What gears do you have? Get some 4.56s if you don't have them already.

Long-tube headers and a custom tune will help alot, but you need a supercharger to really get some good power.
