2006 5.4 3v advice please

I am going to be replacing the cam phasers, timing chains, oil pump, adjusters, and guides on my 06 5.4. Is there anything else to look at replacing while I'm this far into this thing. The problem is that it keeps giving me a p0012 code, I have swapped the selonids and cam sensors from side to side with no change. Thanks in advance

Clean out the pan - you will probably find debris in it.

Seconded. And probably replace the oil pickup tube. Mine had a lot of plastic from the guides/tensioners clogging it up.

How much did this set you back?
How many miles did you get on the OEM set up?
Not there yet with mine but thinking ahead..

Mine made it to 232,000 miles before issues. So you may have a long wait

I got quoted 1400 without changing the oil pump. They said the motor had to come out to change the pump I did it without removing the oil pan. It's a pain but you can do it

Removing the OIL PUMP - OIL PAN

Wow! Pull the engine? Never ceases to amaze me - the mis-information from what should be trusted sources.

But - on the subject of the Pan. IMO, once you are that far in, and considering the pan is not as hard to pull as the passenger side valve cover (especially on a 2x2), it is a mistake not to do so.

If you have broken guides, almost certainly their will be pieces lodged in the screen on the oil pump pickup tube. That can result in (even a new pump) cavitation - (whipping up air bubbles). Air bubbles in the oil galleys compress, unlike oil, and that negatively effects oil pressure. I believe this leads to intermittent (phantom) symptoms of chain tensioner / Phaser failure after an otherwise perfectly done timing chain job.

It's not worth the risk and it is not that much trouble. A very good "HOW TO" on removing the oil pan on a 4x4 is here posted by @nu-supercrew:

Good luck
