2003 swap query

Well. I bought a 2003 f150 with the 4.6. Guy told me it had a misfire due to bad coil pack. Figured I could handle that. He neglected to tell me about the plugs being broke and or stripped. Talked to a mechanic and was told it would be much easier and cheaper to do a motor swap. So I bought a 97 f150 with a 4.6 donor truck. That's where I'm at. Any important things I need to know before I delve into my project? Any advice will be of much help.

1997 is non PI
2003 is PI

Not interchangeable but you can make it work, but don't expect it to be plug and play

I think your mechanic was wrong.

If the only thing wrong with the 2003 engine is the plug threads, use a Timesert kit on each cylinder and you will be in business.
