Belt bark when shifting

New Gator belt and tensioner. Under medium to heavy acceleration the belt barks when shifting. What else could it be? Annoying and embarrassing when passing.

One of the other pulleys, pull the belt and thoroughly clean them.

I'll try that. With what and how? Everything I find on Google searches say it's normal when tuned.

It can be when you have firm shifts.

Try brake cleaner.
