Hoses

Had a coolant leak from a heater hose so I opt to get both heater hoses as well as both radiator hoses replaced due to having almost 200k on the truck. Dealer tries to tell me the cost is $1108 bucks for that. I have priced the hoses on Ford Motorcraft and gotten labor rates for the radiator hoses of 1 hour for upper and 1.5 hours for lower. Can somebody give me the labor for the heater hoses. All in all the price is no where near their quote. I am speaking with management in the morning. Dont mess with Autonation cause they are crooks for real!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you just take it to an independent garage?

No way can anyone here quote you parts and labor prices without knowing what your truck is, all we know is you have a V-8 engine. That doesn't tell us much.

Its a 03 with the 5.4 engine. I was rolling home from work and it started smoking from the coolant leak so I took it to the dealership.

The lower hose is an octopus. Connects in atleast 4 spots. its really about 3 hoses in one.
