Post engine runs rough at low rpm's

I have an appointment next week for a few items for the dealer to check. One thing is my engine runs rough at low rpm's. while cruising at about 40 mph or so, if I ease down on the pedal the engine acts as though it's *lugging* like in a standard shift when your in too high of a gear. (I have an auto trans) Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

Di this only happen after you did your mods or have you had your mods a while and this problem just started. Let us know how it goes at the dealer.

See the Service Engine Light and K&N filter thread in this section. Mine started acting this way and then the light came on. The rest has been a lesson in frustration. Tell us how your dealer reacts to the mods and warranty work.

akula, Big Red 2, Thanks for your response.
I have had the headers for about 3 months, the air box mod and K&N for about 6 months. I have had my truck in twice for bad coils. when that happened the check engine light came on. It does not come on now however. This chugging, or lugging as I described, is mild compared to when the coils were bad.

Also, I have taken out the superchip and have been running 87 octane gas for about a week now to see if there was any difference. It does the same thing with or without the superchip.

Do you have a 4.6 or 5.4 didn't see it in your signature. What mod did you do to the air box.

Read through this thread. I don't know what engine you have, but I think this solution works for both V8s. good luck!
