spark plug came out of head

spark plug came out of head

I have a 97 f150 4wd with the 5.4 engine the other morning I started it up goin down the driveway and one of the spark plugs flew out of the head. I don't have the money for a new head what are my options to fix this on the truck? Thankyou for the help!!

Do a search. there are numerous threads telling you how to re-install a plug.

it stripped the threads out I was hoping to find the best method to fix this problem...heilcoil or what any help is appreciated

Do the search as suggested. You will find that a heli coil will not hold. You need a Timesert kit.

There are a couple of members here that rent the kit out. If you will use the Search button and enter Timesert, I bet you will see their names and be able to contact them. Will possibly save you some money.
