1992 F150 stalls and code help

1992 F 150 5.0 e40d Original Owner 204000 miles.

Yesterday the truck started stalling when I came to a stop. It has never happened before. It starts up, idles and runs fine. The hotter it got the worse it got until it was stalling when I slowed to make a turn.

I cleaned throttle body, IAC, checked for vacuum leaks and attempted to read codes.
Codes are all Knock sensor low input circuit 1 and 2, crankshaft position sensor, ignition engine speed input intermittent.

I am clueless on these codes or what to do next.

I appreciate any help as this is my daily drive.

Clear the codes, then re-run the KOEO and KOER self tests. Gotta flush out the pre-maintenance codes.

Thanks, I will do that. I figured a lot of the codes were from the original condition. I will recheck them.

Key on, engine off 327 327 327 !

I don't have my manuals for the older stuff handy ATM, but that's probably a DPFE issue, off the top of my head.

A bad DPFE or EVP sensor (I forget which your truck has) is one of the possible causes for your initial symptoms, along with a number of other things.

I have a bunch of manuals for my truck that I bought along with the new truck but I don't have one with codes but what I found internet searching:
"327 Electronic pressure transducer differential pressure feedback exhaust DPFE sensor/Electronic Vacuum Regulator EVR.

Yesterday I warmed the truck in the driveway for thirty minutes and then drove it around the neighborhood and down the road for thirty minutes and it did not act up but I had driven harder and longer when it did mess up so I am not sure.

I did find one thing and don't know if it is a possibility. The plastic lock on the EGR valve electrical connector is broken and allows the plug to wiggle, it was fairly loose but wouldn't have ever come out.

I secured it with tyraps until I get a new connector but could that be part of the problem?

Also from my searching for DPFE Sensor it says get a Motorcraft one or I will have problems again.

I appreciate all the help.

Oh, A little light bulb is starting to come on. I did not realize the DPFE sensor is on top of the EGR valve. A picture I looked at showed it under the plastic cover for the throttle linkages.
That is the one that had the loose connector. Also I changed it years ago to fix a CEL and it worked for about a year and the light came back on. The light has flicked on and off randomly ever since but it has always passed state Emissions Inspection so I just ignored it.

I did use a sensor from the parts store too.

I will get one from Ford this time.

If the sensor is directly on the EGR valve, it's a EGR valve position sensor, not a DPFE sensor. DPFE sensors get their input from two tubes across an orifice in the EGR tube.

This is what is shown for a DPFE for a 1992, so I am thinking this is all there is.

That's an EVP sensor. Rock Auto has it named wrong, it's not a DPFE sensor. Not an uncommon occurrence for 3rd party parts sellers.

Oh Dang it.

Where exactly is the DPFE Valve? I have looked but have not seen what I think it is.

There's no such thing as a "DPFE valve".

Excuse me, I made a grammar error and should have said "sensor".

It is located on top of the EGR valve on 1992-1995 F 150 with 5.0 engines.

See everyone makes mistakes.

You do NOT have a DPFE sensor, either. You have the EVP sensor.

Completely different types of parts. The DPFE is a differential air/vacuum pressure sensor, the EVP is a linear potentiometer that senses the physical position of the EGR valve diaphram.
