start and die problem

start and die problem

have a 08 f150 4.6 212k last Saturday my belt broke but not all of it broke so i drove it home the check engine light came on and the maintenance light came on got it home to find the fan clutch sensor was ripped off so i unplugged the battery and let it sit i unplug the battery cause of the senor didnt wanna mess with bare wire so i got a new/used one from mid way ford has about 115k on it and a new belt put them on no problem started it up had a terrible lope to it and the check engine light was on so i deove it to see if it needed little run in it that made it worse started idling at about 1000 and moved down to about 200 and kept fluctuating between five and two pulled it into the drive way and it died now it starts and dies nothing elce

I would start the truck with NOTHING ON and let it idle for about 10 mins. to relearn the idle

I have yet to run the truck for codes and it will not stay running
