Gain? Listen, people index their plugs, put every kind of odd *** shaped plug in the motor, and the reality is that it is going to be VERY hard to beat the stock platinum plug.

Split Fires? True crap. What else are you thinking about? Even indexing is questionable.

SPARK PLUGS

You won't get any increase in power with different spark plugs. Stay with the Stock Platinum types.
If your looking to increase power, start with a good cat back exhaust system, use synthetic oil in the engine, a chip for the computer, bigger injectors.

Are NGK's better than stock plugs? It seems alot
of the lightning crew are using them, splitfires too.

Hey I've got every mod you can think of from the engine to the exhaust to the tranny to the rear end, and I'll tell you after thousands and I mean thousand of money wasted, The only significant add-on aftermarket performance gain that has been worth it unless your changing rearend gears and a possible tranny Baumann or Transgo shift kit is the JACOBS DIS which is a DISTRIBUTOR HIGH OUTPUT IGNITION SYSTEM and what you do is purchase the unit which comes with wires and your choice of upgrading to ceramic but not necessary and purchase the 764 resistor Autolite Copper core plugs and gap them at 70 thousands. I guess it depends on what you might already have done to your truck before i could give my opinion on any mods, the only other add-on is a Superchips power chip but why buy one of them until you have made all other mods so they can burn your chip with taking into consideration all your mods so you can gain the most benefit of each. To give you a ruff idea of the mods i've made is
JBA headers, PowerEffects true Dual Exhaust with x-pipe, 75mm BBK throttle body, Poweraid throttle body spacer, K/N Generation II FIPK cold air induction, IAT replacement to significant air volume, ASP underdrive power pulleys, removal of clutch fan and replacement with dual 15" electric fans, Jet PowerShift plus 4 stage tranny module, Transgo Shiftkit, 4:56 gears,Granatelli 80mm Mass Air Flow, and a Jacobs DIS Highput ignition coilpack, wires system, 24 to 30 lb Fuel injectors, So and not one of them showed me that they were worth the money spent on them unless you coincide them with the other appropriate mods that would work with them to make whatever upgrade you are doing worth it, So if you want my opinion ask a few more questions I can only give you my opinion, every mod needs to have other mods done along with them to gain the benefit of a mod your making, Well I guess that's all I have to say
So no plug is gonna make a difference motorcrafts standard plug is a platinum plug , The Jacobs System is normally $499.99 but I believe stylinconcepts sells it for $369.95 and that probably doesn't include the wires, but if you tell jacobs that , they will make you a deal for about $402.95 and let you do a 3 payment plan , make the first payment and then whatever the next 2 come to they'll split it up for a payment the following month and the month after. Hope any of this has been helpful
