Bought a 2002 5.4 to replace the one in my truck. Will be putting my intake on this motor from my 1999. Oil filter deal of mine also, plus removing the valve covers and oil pan. To check everything out under there. Was told the motor has 60,000 miles on it. But going to check things to make sure the seller did not lie. Will also be checking the timing chain and runners while I'm at it. Thinking about replacing the oil pump and water pump along with the timing stuff. To just have it done and not have to do it later.
So with this looks like a whole gasket kit is the best deal? Even though I don't need the head gaskets.
Anything I'm overlooking please feel free to point it out.
