Maybe it's the lumbar support? Most f150's have a little air bag in the center of the backrest for the driver that can be inflated or deflated with a big round **** on the side of the seat or with a switch if it has power lumbar.

Curiousity gets me here, you have a 4.5l engine?

Corey,

I think that's referred to as dislectic!

RHood, Does the bump move when you twist the **** on the lower left hand side of the bottom portion of your seat? If it doesn't adjust, bring it in to the dealership, and have you seat replaced! Corey is right, all XLT have an adjustable lumbar support, but it's mechanical in the case of the XLT, the Lariat may have an inflatable air pocket! What do you think of the Sport Fabric on the new 2000 Sport? I saw one on the lot (only looked at the fabric through the window), does it seam as durable as the normal XLT fabric?

Naw, Its the same as in the Lariat. Even with power seats the lumbar support is the same. At least in 97. I don't think its air either. I guess mechanical too. I can check the manuals if need be?

Thumbs up

Thank you all:

I took it to the dealer today and he said he would have the upholstery shop fix it . Maybe add some padding? I don't no, but it must get fixed.

How humiliating huh Raoul? I'm there with you pal. That took some real courage to admit that.

Pssst... don't tell them about the lariat foot massager, OK? And that special "vibrate" feature on the remote either.

I have a 99 Lariat with power everything and I'm ashamed to admit this but, it's true, the lumbar adjustment is a '****' I must 'turn' just like the great unwashed.
