Hello, my name is SAndro. I am from Brazil and i bought a truck f 150 2009. it's check engine coming on. the scanner acused the need to change a sensor (detonation sensor i think). Well, the sensor was changed. But the check engine coming on again. The scanner not acuses errors, actually. But in registration before, has a code of fault sincrony. was engine out time. the mecanical make the maintence and all was good, but the check engine coming on again and scanner acuses the same error before.
To reset engine module will resolve the problem? how to make the correct reset in my truck? Thaks, excuse me by bad english.

Finally came. I had to buy a scanner to me. I have actron CP 9575 now. And it can read the codes of the truck. The price that i bougth was the same what the mechanic wanted just to read. Absurd!
The scanner accuses P0020. I saw that can be valve timing selenoide. But, valve timing selenoide was replaced last month. Was the problem before of the truck. But light engine come on again. we discovered that engine was out of time. the mechanic regularized the motor time. and the truck was good. But in next day the engine light coming on to send hello again. and the same message of fault of sincrony of bank A and bank B . i asked what the possibility that engine coming out of time again without go out of workshop mechanical. No possibility was the answer. But after this work the truck show engine light come on again and P0020. I saw in youtube a video about timing and the mechanic accuses fault in chain tensioner. I think it is the problem. Next week i will go in another workshop to confer. if somebdy can to say something to help all opinion is invited. thanks all.

Thanks, you think that is valve selenoide? But, i can't understand. THe valve selenoide was replaced last month. I forget to say. The scanner of Mechanic shown opened circuit. I replaced oil (5w20) and the opened circuit disapeared, until the mechanic process the changes that i said. And after all this the truck is showing a soft ticking noise in left side of engine (driver side).

 

It's pointing to an electrical issue.

Today was a good day, man! i want to register my congratulations. You was right! I send the truck to another workshop. The mechanic never worked in Ford F 150 before. But he knows mechanical concepts. He look the engine and find the connector of camshaft broken. And look to variable timing selenoid, make some tests and sentenced: "to me is it, and the connectors of VCT and positon camshaft sensor connector. I talked about your opinion and we decided to follow your path idea. I bought the parts in www.rockauto.com and today, finally was changed the parts. The truck is singing good again. And check engine light is off. thank you very much! good weekend man!

"Don't be a stranger" means come back often and talk or in this post... or in other words usually used as a farewell, inviting one to visit again or communicate more often.

Another way to put it, a lot of members come on here asking a question, it gets fixed or not, and then they never crop up again. Not to say its a bad thing... but it makes you wonder.

and ... i am working here in my regular job and with house construction to sell. for someday to live in south florida or miami. but i want to have money to our family before. unhappy Brazil is not good about some aspects. much tax e few people return.
