2001 F150 5.4 must have performance mods

I have just bought a 2001 f150 with the 5.4 engine, with 150k on the engine. no mods other than what I believe is a RCD stabilizer, I want the truck to be in top performance, mostly for street racing with the kids who think they are bad a$$. Do not really tow anything, and I do have a heavy foot, any Ideas for first time mods?

vortech or roush supercharger will give you the most power for your money. Should be able to expect roughly around 500hp give or take(not an expert basing this off what I've seen)

You still won't be beating anything serious but should be fun for trolling hondas all day.

Nitrous is another option

The modular is not an engine that lends itself to low dollar mod that give big power. The best you can hope is it has enough power to get out of its own way. Unless your willing to spend big bucks. 500 hp supercharged would also require a built engine with forged internals. The whole deal would run around 7-10 grand.

For a 150K motor you won't see nearly the gains that those blower companies advertise. I would honestly advise not doing anything to that truck. Don't put a blower on a 150K motor, you are just asking for it to blow up a few days later especially if you have a heavy foot. And no other mods to these trucks besides a blower will make anyone say "wow". Hate to crush your dreams but save your money for future repair costs or basic maintenance. I know it's boring but it's inevitable and definitely needed if you just bought the truck cause who knows what maintenance hasn't been done on it.

Damn, I sound like my old man ha.
