Wondering if it is possible to use a 2004 F250 oil pan in my 1999 Expedition. I bought a used engine from a 2004 F250 for my 1999 Expedition. Oil pans are different of course, along with pickups. Pulled the old pan on the 99 motor and found the rod and stuff that I planned to see. Problem is metal shavings that I can't get out under the baffles where they meet the pan. And the pickup tube has some also that just won't come out. Power washed, lots of brake cleaners. But when I blow it out with the air gun more come out and I'm just worried about the little specs causing problems. I just wanted to get the engine in today, and nobody has a new pan around, let alone an oil pickup. So would a 04 F250 pan fit in the Expedition? Anyone know?
