When I drive my truck from a cold start, randomly when I'm driving, it will randomly loose all power and the rpm's feel like it's below an idle and trying to come back and it will shake the entire truck like I'm going over the middle line. When I hit the gas it dosnt do anything but make everything shake even more. It usually happens going up hills But today I got back from a weekend trip and when I started it up I drove down the street and it happened. I pulled over and restarted it and continued down the road and it happened going up a hill. It never fully dies though. Any hElp would be much appreciated

 

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Spark plugs? Do you have coil packs and wires or coil on plug? Which engine?
