Hey folks,

Light came on while driving normally. I reset the computer and it stayed off for a few days then came back on.
Had the codes pulled and the guy tells me both banks are running lean. He doesn't think O2 sensor due to it being both sides. He suspects a vacum leak.

Question is, is he jerking me on this (locating a vacum leak could be a lot of hours) and does anyone have a good guess where would be a good place to start looking for the leak myself?

Truck currently has aprox 56000 mi
98 4.6 4x4

Did he tell you the code number? I have a Chilton manual that seems to have all the codes listed.

 

No he didn't. just that the code means it is running lean on both banks.
