It Stalled

I have a 2002 F150 with a 5.4L engine, I was driving and the truck around yesterday, probably running an hour, and while I waited on a light it started to sputter and stalled. I immediately tried restarting the truck with no luck. After towing it home last night I decided to look at it this morning. I went to the fuel pump reset switch under the dash on passenger side and the button hadn't popped, but I pushed on it anyway and followed the rest of the procedure. The truck for the first time since it stalled almost started, so I followed the same process a number of times, with the same results. I was given this truck just recently and I haven't had much time to get familiar with it. I can't even locate the spark plugs yet. It has 170000 miles on it. Any one have a clue?

Check fuel pressure, filter could be plugged, or the pump could of crapped out.
