I am pleased to see that I'm not the only one who digs himself into deep holes. I think your wife has you on this one. You could explain that while it doesn't effect engine life it will effect your MPGs. So by changing to an engine without the PS you will save $$$ on gas. Good luck and be sure to look her in the eyes when telling her this.
