04 is an off year in general. so 05 and newer 5.4 3 valve injectors won't work?

 

I apologize for the confusion. I have gotten so use to using the 05 year for finding parts.

 

You dont WANT stock 05 injectors. You have to find out if 06+ will work I can tell you that 04,05, and 06+ are all different. 06+ MAY work we or at least I dont know. those are the ones that if they fit you would want. Or reconditioned 04 injectors and being a 1 off year they be tough to find.

 

Injectors are 100 a piece new, 40 a piece remanufactured. Is there a reputable after market set that well work

 

Probably not. At least not that are cheaper..

My next question lies with tuning. I have an afe intake sitting in my garage and the truck has a whole new exhaust. Which consists.of 2.25 in head pipes with 2 magnaflow cats in place of the factory 4, into a custom y pipe with a 3 in si/so magnaflow dumped before the axle. I had.the intake on the truck and.it wouldnt idle.right so i took it back off. I heard the 04 trucks are close to the lean side stock. Will i sill be able to order email tunes with the stock injectors to get it running correct or will it be more difficult for them to tune?

 

You don't need anything but stock injectors for those mods. They will flow plenty well.
