guys, this weekend i replaced a faulty master cylinder and brake booster.

After installing the new parts i turned on the truck and noticed that the truck was idling ruough and after a while it even died. Evertything points out to a vacuum leak. When i hear in the engine compartment i hear a hiss.

I tought that my new booster was the one causing this so i disconnected the line going into it and plugged it but the behavior was the same, after further investigating i see that i have no vacuum at all on the line that feeds the booster.

This line seems to go to the back of the engine i traced it with my hand as far as i could but it hides behind between the engine and firewall. I guess that when i installed the booster back in i moved this line a lot and may have disconnected it from the intake

I need this truck to be workin on monday to go to work, i only have tomorrow to fix it.

What do you suggest? Where does this line connects to in the manifold? can i access it from below the engine? or do i have to disassemble something to fix it?

 

PCV vacuum line? Follow the PCV hose back and see if that's it..

just for everyone know, i had to take the whole intake off to be able to connect the vacuum hose on the back of it.

the process took me two days and a new intake gasket...
