Codes p0175 and p0305
Codes p0175 and p0305
Read the codes p0175 states mixture is to rich and p0305 states #5 misfire. I'm guessing p0175 is bc of the misfire. Problem is the shop replaced coilpack #5 and idle is still rough as hell. The spark plug hasn't been replaced yet and hoping that would be the cause of the rough idle. Any other ideas?
I have about 30k at most on them. I had a tune up performed a couple years back give or take 3 years). I tow a boat every spring/summer so I'm hoping once I replace #5 plugs it fixes the idle issue
Replaced #5 spark plug and the truck's idle is better but still seems like there is something wrong. I'm going to clear the codes and I drive the truck around for a bit to see if the 0175 code returns. If that code returns do you think it may be an O2 sensor or converter?
Well I guess I spoke too soon. The rough idle was corrected by replacing coil pack #5, spark plug #5 and fuel injector #5 but while driving and needing to acccelerate on the highway the truck had a major hesitation at about 3000 rpm and the check engine light started blinking. I let off the gas and the check engine light continued to blink but eventually went out. I tried to accelerate again after about 10 miles and the same thing happened again with the hesitation. At idle the truck seems like it is running like a champ but the moment I need to get up and go on the highway I feel like the whole truck is going to **** the bed. Any ideas on the problem?????? I have 132500 miles on the truck and have read about known problems with these injectors. Would these problems be covered via the extended warrenty by FORD?
GLC, I appreciate that link and will hopefully get use out of it.

Coil pack 5, injector 5 and spark plug 5 all test good bit the truck is still misfiring once on the highway trying to accelerate. The truck is fine at idle and normal driving but the moment you go to accelerate hesitation happens and still can't seem to figure out the issue. The misfire code p0305 still shows as well
Needless to say but the cylinder is screwed. Going to cost more to pull the head and repair rather than replace the engine. I'm looking at the 2011 FX4 twin turbo. Are there any known problems with these engines? I like the horsepower and torque specs due to the fact I tow the boat.
