Post Fram Oil Filters

Well, I finally got the Fram oil filter off my truck and my wife's car. Both are quieter on startup and the oil pressure is now higher in my truck.

Thanks for posting the info about Fram filters.

What did you use to check the pressure on the oil? I hope it wasn't the gauge in the dash.

Stay away from Fram oil filters.. they suck. made cheaply with a plastic part in them that can melt and get thrown into the engine. I read a whole article on this and saw pictures that prove it. Use the Motorcraft oil filter. Its a top notch oil filter. You can buy any better. If I find the link on the information I will send post it.

White Knight, thanks for the web address...it is an interesting study. The site did not conclude that all Fram filters are inferior; some Fram filters seem to be competative, according to what I read. Again, thanks for the info.

4D THNDR:

Before answering it's good to know the whole story before making a wise crack.

Imagine this! Ya ****!

By your signature, your truck was "born" and "adopted." Men don't talk like that. You sound like a feminine, pansy-assed, little ****.

Cruiseman.
Before this gets out of hand (and it probably will) maybe you should follow your own advice. Instead of launching a bunch of insults, maybe you should find out what he meant. I didn't see anything in his response that warranted your response.
It wouldn't be the first time somebody on this board interpreted a post the wrong way, it's easy to get the wrong impression when you can't SEE the person you're talking to.
