Hesitation at acceleration

My brother in-law just beat me at a stop light with his Chev1500 2WD. That should not have happen! Shouldn't I have instant response when hitting the accelerator? What are some things I should be looking for? I still need to check my spark plugs.

Angry kill that f$#*ing chevy

kill the chevy

here is your problem,and solution...

ford computers retard timing at idle to reduce hydrocarbon emissions, when you go from idle to WOT (wide open throttle) your computer needs to readjust which causes a split second delay before your truck responds..

here is how to kill the chevy.. get a jet chip that will not retard the ignition timing, (or) do a power break before launching, nothing serious, just bring your truck up to about 1000 to 1100 rpms so the computer advances the timing, then when you floor it, the timing is already advanced a few degrees and there will be no delay in your trucks response i assure you... provided there is nothing wrong with your truck..

and show that **** box who's boss around town...
