PO330 Check Engine Light
PO330 Check Engine Light
I have thrown a P0330 Knock Sensor 2 code. I threw this code earlier and had service shop reprogram the computer to the most recent programming code out there as there was a TSB for this type of code on my truck. I drive a 06 F150 5.4L. It stayed off for a long while, I never really tested it as I kept RPMs below 4000/4500 at all times. Do a lot of city driving. I thought it idled a little rough at around 500/750 but that just may be me getting used to the Ford 5.4L.
This weekend I performed the "Gotts" "DMV" intake modification were the snorkel is removed. I took it out to run and finally put my foot in it. The truck really seems to struggle when the RPMs get into the higher range (>4000+). It just doesn't seem to have the pep and doesn't accelerate at the pace that I believe the 5.4L should. While putting it through this test it threw another check engine light. I had it read and again it was the P0330 Knock Sensor 2 code. My MAF is clean as I just cleaned it last Monday. I was wondering if anyone had any input on this matter before I go about having somebody rip apart my intake manifold to get too the Knock Sensors. Again it seems to really have problems in the higher RPMs.
Thanks,
Dan
