2013 f-150 5.0 ?
2013 f-150 5.0 ?
I have a 2013 f-150 5.0 with 3:55 e-lock rear end with 12??? miles on it, If i'm running down the interstate 50-70MPH in six gear i get what feels like a misfire or trans slip, but i can take it out of 6th gear and it stops doing it. Now i have had it at the dealership four times and they have replaced all the coil packs and it still doing it, Mode six shows misfire and cylinder balance test shows random misfire when you stall it up in the work bay.
Now to the question is anyone else having this problem and if so did they fix it and what fixed it?
Thanks for any information!

Mine is a 2011, never experienced anything like that. Don't recall anyone else reporting that problem. Please keep us posted.

Should be something like an ignition module feeding the coil packs. that would be next in the shotgun approach.
Back in 87 or 88, my ex-wife's 6 cylinder Granada developed an intermittent miss that was pretty bad. I had just sworn off working on her car anymore because she wasn't very appreciative of my efforts. I told her to take it to the dealer. I also told her from her description if it were me I'd replace the ignition module, about $35 bucks at Autozone. Of course it ran fine when they saw it and replaced the plugs and did other useless stuff and didn't fix it. Second time they replaced vacuum lines and charged her more. Third time they did something else and charged her again. 4 th time they didn't charge but failed to fix it. She asked my advice. I told her to ask for an appointment with the manager of the dealership and take all the receipts and ask him what was it going to take to fix her simple car that didn't even have a computer. She did that and they gave her a new car to drive while they replaced the ignition module for free. The module fixed the car's intermittent problem. She began thinking maybe I wasn't so stupid after all.

Well guys it looks like its not going to matter if they fix it or not! A deer hit me in the drivers door (never seen her coming) and i jerked the wheel and went off road and hit a sign. After i get it back from the body shop it will be traded in on a new one. about $6500.00 damage was done
