No there wasn't really any noise when I turned it, or when it first broke down. If this helps the transmission turns when the starter is engaged but the engine doesn't.

I'll be able to check Monday/Tuesday

U should have wobble movement there if the thing is broken off the motor. It should have made a lot of bad sounds when it broke. Maybe a starter nose broken off ?

Well I talked to the mech yesterday, he is 100% sure that's it's a broken crank or at the least something is in there, he is unsure how. From the flywheel back to the transmission everything turns and works fine. But something is stopping the motor from turning more than around 180° clockwise from TDC. Broken crank or not the motor is done...something either got in there...or a previous mechanic busted it.

I trust this mechanic 100%, and I guess this has to happen to someone. The truck did sit for a bit before I bought it so that could have caused issues. Still I'll know soon, he took the motor out today and I'm waiting on his call.

That's a possibility with the starter nose, it would still turn the transmission though?
