Another Bosch vs Motorcraft Spark Plug Experience

I took the V10 F150 out to do some truck stuff yesterday and it made me realize that I really miss the V10 since driving the new (to me) Expedition and that the V10 was soooo much smoother than the 5.4 in the Expy. I don't remember my truck being that way with the 5.4, so I pulled a plug in the Expy and found a Bosch Platinum +2 #4302. I have never had any luck with Bosch Platinum in anything I own, so I picked up a set of Motorcraft SP-479 at $3.49 each and tossed them in last night. Now the idle is nice and smooth as it should be. I hope I can increase the mileage too, the Expy is a thirsty beast.

These Bosch plugs are $10 each. I'm sure they work good in something, but nothing I own.

Glad you solved the problem. It's frustrating when members tell us we are brand brainwashed when we try to tell them that Motorcrafts are the best choice for these engines.

That's partially why I posted this. I think most of you know I'm not brand loyal.

I won't touch Bosch plugs with a 10 foot pole any more - since I put a set in an old BMW and it ran like crap. Wouldn't you think Bosch would be the RIGHT plug for a German car? Uh uh. Crap.

LOL, I was going to say I would give them to glc for just the cost of shipping, but it looks like they will weigh down my trash can.
