Coil Pack
Coil Pack
Looks like DG530 is the correct motorcraft number but how often is it that only one cylinder would die with no spark? My number 4 has absolutely no spark and when I switch the wire with an adjacent coil it has spark. I was under the impression that the entire pack would pop not just one individual coil...
. Unfortunately it is Sunday (of course) and no dealers are open. Probably going to get an Echlin pack from Napa (no thx on Borg Warner) as I need the vehicle today. Any experience/thoughts on Echlin? Motor is a 4.6 btw.

Unfortunately, he said he needed it same day.
These aren't coil on plug - these are coil packs, 2 of them, 4 cylinders each.
I've had the coil pack go out twice on my V-6, and each time only 1 cylinder was affected.
not uncommon losing only one. may be an indication of what's to come

Ya it said the Echlin was a "Made in USA" product on the box which makes me feel a whole lot better. Ya I would have gone Motorcraft if I didn't need it same day and it wasn't a friggin Sunday but oh well. Seemed to fix the problem though truck runs like a top again. I just think its a funny joke that it always seems to be #4 cylinder and couldn't be #1 this time lol. Thanks for all the help guys you make this forum worth its weight in gold.
