Post FYI - Check Engine Light

FYI...

Truck: 94 F-150 4.9L (80K miles)

Problem: Check engine light came on during 800 mile trip. However, the light would periodically turn off/on while driving down the road. Other than that, everything seemed fine! By the end of the trip, the light remained "ON" semi-constantly.

Solution: A friend recommended changing the EGO sensor. It worked. Not bad for $40 and about 1/2 hour of head/butt scratching.

Note: If you decide to use an open-ended wrench to remove the sensor and it doesn't work (you know what I mean)...a pipe wrench works great - lots of leverage!

I hope this information helps someone out there!
