I,recently purchased my 2005 5.4 and love the darn thing. Drove it 2k miles to my new home in sandiego. On my stop in Texas I,read about the camphaser of death. I like to call it that. I'm experiencing the same problems that have been addressed previously ticking, or knocking. And maybe a little bit of a miss. Or could be unbalanced maybe. The phasers throwing it off. I've noticed a drop in power at highway speeds as well. I've been looking into this issue for a while. Is there anyway I can replace the phasers with regular cam gears? With minor tuning and adjustments? Or better just to suck,it up and replace the phasers and all that,other good **** while I'm there? Please help! I,can do all the work myself. I have access to unlimited resources practically. Thank you yall!!
