Question Getting rid of the Governer

I just started putting HI-Performance parts on my 98 F-150, but it is governing at 100mph. Does anyone know the best way to get rid of that?

Cool

HI!... ADAM19 : Welcome to the boards!!!! The only way you can get rid of the top speed limiter on these trucks is with a aftermarket performance chip. The preferred one here is the SUPERCHIP. Go to the "COMPUTER CHIPS" section and you can read up on them and talk to MIKE TROYER the SUPERCHIP DISTIBUTOR. The SUPERCHIP will give you more H.P, more, TORQUE, FIRMER TRANNY SHIFTING, RAISE shift points and get rid of that pasky TOP SPEED LIMITER. Hope this helps you out.

Cool

But also don't forget to look at your tires. Don't go faster than they are rated for or they could fail. And having a tire fail at +100 is no fun.

I think even the slowest speed rating is 118 MPH.
