05 f150 5.4 3valve

I have a 05f150 3valve with top end noise,I've had the driver side lifters replaced at 48k and it was ok up till 95k then it got worse and then I had the passenger side lifters and cam phasers replaced and still making noise. I was told today by a guy that has been working on these engines since they came out and he said to drain the oil an replace it with two quarts of Lucas and 10w40 and the noise will go away. Does. Anyone have any ideas? Remember all lifters and cam phasers have been replaced

Mine makes the cam phaser noise at warm idle. It's normal for these engines to have cam phaser noise as they're noisy by design. I don't worry about it in the least. I will never use any oil or filter other than what the manufacturer suggests. The oil strict passages are designed for a certain oil and that's what I use.

How can it sound like a rod if it's all top end???

The fuel injectors can be heard opening and closing all the time too. Also perfectly normal.
